Home Care Support

London and Home County Care was established to provide a live-in care service for the elderly and for those people with a disability who wish to remain in their own homes. We provide care and support to those people who find it difficult to care for themselves. We provide a LIVE-IN CARE service only. This service may be temporary (respite care) or long term according to the client's needs.

LIVE-IN CARE means that the live-in carer would live with the client in the client's own home and carry out whatever duties are required to enable the client to stay at home.

Our philosophy is to provide the highest standard of live-in care, at an affordable price, to enable people to retain their independence and thus be able to stay in their own homes for as long as possible.

One to one live-in care in your own home can allow you a far better quality of life. The live-in carer's role is to do all the tasks that you find difficult so that you are able to stay in your own home.

The cost of live-in care compares very favourably with that of the costs involved when moving into a residential or nursing care home and our live-in care service allows our clients to remain in their own homes, rather than moving into a residential or a nursing care home.

Our live-in carers help clients to manage for themselves wherever possible, rather than the client becoming totally dependent on care workers and we encourage our clients to participate as much as possible in their care and day to day needs and to make decisions wherever possible. It may be that you enjoy helping with food preparation and we would encourage you to continue doing this with the live-in carer's help.

Cooking

Thus, London and Home County Home Care aims to work with carers, relatives and friends of our clients to provide a service that focuses on ability rather than on disability.

Live in home care service provider

In providing a live-in care service for people with disability, we aim to get a balance between helping our clients experience as much independence as possible and making sure that our clients are safe and secure.

If you wish to proceed with London and Home County Home Care, then we would carry out a home assessment for the client, with a member of the family or a friend present. We would complete a client registration and assessment form.

We would ask you to sign a contract of service.

We would provide a live-in carer on a date agreed by all parties. If it is reasonably possible, we would try to introduce you to your live-in carer before commencement of care starts. However, we do stress that this is not always possible as the live-in carer may on another assignment or may be on holiday.

A live-in carer will arrive on the agreed date.

An ongoing monitoring service is provided where we check that the live-in carer, client and family are happy with the service being provided.
